    This class is a joyful, high-energy journey through Brazil’s vibrant dance culture—with uplifting carnival beats and earthy folk rhythms that’ll have you sweating, smiling, and shaking it out in all the best ways.

    About the class (and me):
    Brazilian dance is a vibrant blend of African, Indigenous, and European roots—deeply rhythmic, expressive, and soulful. In Brazil, they say “quando você dança, você lava sua alma”—when you dance, you wash your soul.

    I’m Sarah, and I’ve been dancing Brazilian styles for nearly 30 years. Now on Salt Spring, I’m keeping the carnival spirit alive by moving our hips, waking our spines, and connecting to joy and rhythm—wherever we are.

    I teach with warmth, energy, and a passion for the cultural stories behind the dances. Come move with us!

    Class Structure:

    Weeks 1–3: Awaken Your Brazilian Body
    Hips, shoulders, rhythm & joy — Afoxé + Samba de Roda basics.

    Weeks 4–7: Maracatu Power + Coco Play
    Strength, groove & seaside vibes in one routine.

    Weeks 8–10: Carnival Celebration
    Final routine, freestyle circle & pure joy.

  • Goddess Bootcamp

    Dance, stretch and strengthen ALL of you!

    Goddess Bootcamp is a structured movement program designed to support women’s health and well-being. Each session weaves together elements of dance, yoga, Essentrics body conditioning, and pelvic floor practices, offering a whole-body approach that emphasizes mobility, strength, and connection.

    Rather than focusing on repetition or force, the classes invite participants to move in ways that feel nourishing and restorative, while also building stamina and resilience. By consistently integrating the pelvic floor into the practice, the program helps foster greater awareness, stability, and vitality.

    The intention is for participants to leave feeling grounded, strong, and replenished—physically energized and more deeply connected to themselves. Classes run from Sept 18-Nov 20 on Thursdays from 4:20-5:20pm at All Saints by the Sea Church.

  • Aging Backwards Workout @ SIMS

    Coming Back in September! A Full Body Stretch Workout for Flexibility, Mobility & Strength . Includes pelvic floor work and yin yoga. 10 week program at SIMS. Each week we do a full-body low impact workout based on the Essentrics workout. Each week, we also focus on specific areas of the body to increase awareness.     Weeks 1–2: Hips & Glutes
    Loosen hip flexors, strengthen hips, glutes & hamstrings for posture, mobility & balance.

    Weeks 3–4: Upper Back & Shoulders
    Release tension, build mobility, and improve alignment in the upper body.

    Weeks 5–6: Core & Pelvic Floor
    Deepen awareness and strength in the core + pelvic floor for stability and connection.

    Weeks 7–8: Legs, Ankles & Spine
    Strengthen and stretch the legs, improve ankle mobility, and enhance spinal alignment.

    Weeks 9–10: Arms & Full Body Integration
    Strengthen arms/wrists, then bring everything together for full-body balance and awareness.

    Each week incorporates Essentrics with yin yoga for deeper release and relaxation, ensuring a holistic approach to flexibility, mobility, and strength development.

  • yOni sOma: a Somatic Pelvic Floor Course for Women

    We all know we need to do more for our beloved pelvic floors. Train and tune into the pelvic floor in a way that is fun and empowering. This 6 week journey goes deep as you explore optimal movement for your pelvic floor and body. Feel the difference by developing a deeper awareness of your pelvic floor that goes way beyond regular "Kegels".

    Classes are a mix of pelvic floor and full body exercises, tuning into our different muscles for greater control and isolation. Using somatic coaching techniques we develop ways to stay motivated and tuned in. Sessions end with a womb space meditation to feel the full benefits.
